Full bagpipe service — €200, no cure no pay

• Full leak check — bag, drones, blowpipe, valves.
• Hemp re-binding where needed; tape replacement.
• Reed inspection & seating — drone reeds and chanter reed.
• Drone tuning & balancing — getting the bass and tenors to lock.
• Chanter set-up — pitch check, taping for problem notes.
• Bag care advice — moisture system, seasoning if needed.
• A short playing test before I hand them back.

How it works

1. You bring the pipes to me in Hedel (or post them insured).
2. I diagnose and tell you up front what I can do — and what I can't.
3. If I take the job, the price is €200 incl. VAT, all-in.
4. No cure, no pay — if your pipes don't play noticeably better when I'm done, you don't pay.

I'm not a maker, and I won't pretend to be. For deep restoration work (cracked stocks, rotten bag liners, full re-bores) I'll refer you to a specialist maker. Everything short of that, I can do.

What I'll need to know

When you get in touch, please tell me the brand of pipes (McCallum, Naill, Dunbar, Wallace, etc.), whether they're played regularly, and what's wrong as you experience it. Photos welcome.
