Maarten Vugs (Celtic Wings) is an outstanding Irish whistle and tin flute player. Together we put together a Celtic set — Highland bagpipe and whistle weaving in and out of each other — that works beautifully for gala dinners, weddings, Burns Nights and any event with a Scottish, Irish or Celtic theme.
The two-instrument format is more versatile than solo pipes: we can play softer indoor sets, walking sets, and longer programmes without overwhelming a room.

For parades, big openings or military-style ceremonies I can bring a second piper. Two pipes playing in tune together carry an unmistakable weight — twice the sound is more than twice the impact.
